Garden Cottages are easily accessible from both the North and South via the A1. Simply follow the signs for Alnwick Town Centre, then leave Alnwick by the B6341 towards Rothbury. Follow the road for approximately 4 miles until around 800 yards past a crossroads signposted Whittingham (to the right) and turn right onto a minor road signposted Lemmington Hall (on sharp left hand bend). The road drops away quite steeply over a cattle grid for about 3/4 mile, Garden Cottages car park is on your left.

From the A697 or Rothbury:
Garden Cottages are easily accessible from both the North and South via the A697 simply proceed until you reach the crossroads with the B6341 Alnwick - Rothbury Road where you turn towards Alnwick(if travelling from Rothbury you simply cross the A687). After around 3 miles you will start to climb quite sharply and if a clear day be greeted by the view towards Cheviot, a further mile and you will turn left onto a minor road signposted Lemmington Hall (on sharp right hand bend). The road drops away quite steeply over a cattle grid for about 3/4 mile, Garden Cottages car park is on your left. Please press bell opposite greenhouse. |
