Welcome to Garden Cottages, Lemmington Hall, Alnwick.
We are set in the heart of rural Northumberland, with this magnificent view of Cheviot from the top of our access road, and yet only 4 miles from the historic market town of Alnwick with a wide range of retail and recreational facilities including numerous pubs and restaurants and the Playhouse Theatre which plays host year round to a variety of theatre, music and film and 8 miles from the lovely village of Rothbury.
Northumberland is the most northern county in England and the most sparsely populated county in the country offers great scope for recreational activities with endless opportunities for the walker, golfer, cyclist, watersport enthusiast and bird watcher, as well as providing idyllic settings for relaxation and enjoyment.
With heritage coastline only 8 miles to the east and the 'Holy Island' of Lindisfarne a mere 30 miles away plus the rugged Cheviot hills in the Northumberland National Park bordering Scotland only 10 miles to the west there are plenty of open spaces to attract the visitor and when combined with its rich history resulting in numerous castles it is easy to see why North Northumberland has attracted the identity of the "Secret Kingdom".
Dating from the end of the nineteenth centuury, this four star holiday cottage has been sympathietically restored to a modern standard.
A grade II listed property, the holiday cottage is set in almost an acre of landscaped garden with mature trees and pond, close to the owner's 18th century cottage.
